Does Inchframe run in the cloud?
No. Inchframe is designed around your local system, GPU, storage, ComfyUI setup, and provider access.
Does Inchframe ship with API keys?
No. A clean first install should not include saved API keys. Users bring their own provider keys.
Which provider keys can I use?
Current setup copy covers OpenAI and Google Gemini. Keys can be added in Settings > API Management or through environment variables.
What are the environment variables?
OpenAI uses OPENAI_API_KEY. Gemini can use GEMINI_API_KEY or GOOGLE_API_KEY.
What is ComfyUI used for?
ComfyUI handles the local video generation workflow. Inchframe connects to your local ComfyUI setup after you confirm ComfyUI and LTX/IAV work directly.
What should I test first?
Open ComfyUI, load the LTX/IAV template, download required assets, render a short IAV test inside ComfyUI, run Inchframe System Check, then make a small Inchframe project.
Do not start with a long render?
Correct. Start with a small test project. Long renders should come only after the local chain has been proven.
Does Creator allow AI provider routing?
Creator includes limited AI provider routing because mixing providers is part of the core value. Pro unlocks full routing and internals.
What is restricted in Creator?
Creator hides raw logs, token/cost estimates, shortcode/glossary editing, prompt recipe internals, node mappings, and deeper workflow/API internals.
What does Pro unlock?
Pro unlocks raw logs, token estimates, shortcode/glossary editing, prompt recipe editing, node mappings, advanced diagnostics, and configurable workflow internals.
How does the free trial work?
Free Trial is planned as three days of Creator-level access with trial/license behavior enforced by the backend later.

Where are project files stored?
The local-first model keeps project files on the user’s own system/storage rather than locking them inside a cloud production platform.
How do I keep API keys safe?
Do not paste real keys into screenshots, support tickets, public repos, Discord, Slack, or email. If exposed, revoke the key and create a new one.
